Here are some tips to ensue you have the best match for a wedding photographer:

  • Check with BBB, make sure he does not have excessive disputes.

  • Make sure you understand all that the package includes.

  • If you get your images on disk:

  • Are they full resolution images? Low resolution images can limit print’s sizes.

  • Do you get an unconditional release form so you can print elsewhere?

  • Do you get a gallery? For how long? Can someone orders online? Are prints expensive?

  • Note that there are certain kinds  of photo papers you can only get through a professional printer which are usually deal executively with professional photographers.  For example; metallic paper most of the time can only be ordered through a photographer. My recommendation is to print just a few photos that you really like through the photographer and the rest via any other printer.

  • How particular are you? Examine the samples carefully, if you notice some flaws, then this might not be the right photographer for you, if this are his/her samples, which usually indicate some of the best work, are flawed in your eyes then look for someone else.

  • How many photos and what kind of coverage do you get?

  • Usually the more the quality photos you get the better.

  • Example: See a full wedding/reception. See what kind of coverage during the vows, the ring exchange etc.

  • I have seen many  photographers don’t shoot the dollar dance, or shoot couple of shots only. Do you want your photographer to take a photo of every one the  couple danced with? Make sure you express that to the photographer.
